Sheffield Children’s Centre Holiday Club – HAF Programme
Looking for an exciting, safe and supportive place for your child during the school holidays? Sheffield Children’s Centre Holiday Club proudly works in partnership with Sheffield City Council to deliver the HAF (Holiday Activities and Food) Programme during the Sheffield school holidays.
The HAF programme provides free holiday activities and healthy meals for children who are eligible for benefits-related free school meals. It is designed to help children stay active, socialise with friends, learn new skills and enjoy enriching experiences during the school break.
Who is eligible for HAF funding in Sheffield?
- Receive benefits-related free school meals
- Attend a Sheffield school
- Are within school age
To book holiday activities, you’ll need your child’s unique HAF code.
All eligible children have been sent their unique HAF code by post.
To receive a HAF code, you must receive benefits-related free school meals. This is different to universal free school meals that all children in Key Stage 1 (Reception to Year 2) receive.
To qualify for a HAF code your child needs to fit one of the below criteria. A code will only be issued or reissued once this has been verified.
- In receipt of means-tested Free School Meals
- Looked After Child
- Child is on a Special Guardianship Order(SGO) or a Care Arrangement Order (CAO)
- To report a problem with your HAF code or if you believe you are eligible please access this link for further help https://www.sheffield.gov.uk/utilities/form/schools-childcare/report-problem-your-haf-code
We also welcome children and young people with additional needs, including those with an EHCP, and can accommodate young people up to age 16 thanks to our experienced team and higher staff-to-child ratios.
